Flax seeds, a natural support that facilitates the horse's digestion:

Flax seeds soothe and help balance the digestive system. The presence of mucilage facilitates transit in horses prone to straw blockages. Flax seeds reinforce the digestive action of the mash.

They are also a source of essential fatty acids and in particular omega 3 involved in many metabolisms. Essential fatty acids are a source of energy well tolerated by the working horse and promote weight gain in horses in need of health.

Flaxseed is the fruit of the flax flower. It is a spherical capsule which contains a brown, oval and flattened seed rich in essential fatty acids, proteins, soluble fibers, lignans, mucilages and sterols.

Micronized and pre-cooked flaxseed. This process allows flaxseed to be added to the ration without having to soak or boil it first. This pre-cooking preserves all the richness of flaxseed in essential fatty acids (omega 3, 6, 9) but destroys the linase naturally present and toxic to the body.

These flax seeds enriched with wheat bran, which has very interesting digestive properties. In fact, it absorbs its weight in water, making it a food that limits the risk of colic and facilitates transit. It also maintains a high water content in the droppings. It is therefore very complementary to flax seeds, the digestive properties of which it will maximize.

What to combine flax seeds with?

To strengthen the digestive well-being of horses, flax seeds can be combined with aloe vera juice. Naturally very rich in vitamins, minerals and polysaccharides, aloe vera juice relieves horses prone to digestive problems while strengthening the intestinal flora.
