Jump'In Tongue Passing Pelham Bit 0028P
This bit closely resembles a curb bit. However, it may have a broken mouthpiece and always features a large ring at the mouthpiece, allowing for the attachment of a second pair of reins or a pair of side reins. The pelham's function and severity depend primarily on the rein attachment point. Used on the upper ring, the pelham has a slight lifting effect. This bit is somewhat more powerful than a snaffle. Used on the lower ring, the pelham has a lowering effect. In this configuration, the pelham is an extremely powerful bit. The double-jointed tongue-and-snaffle bit allows for greater relaxation of the horse's mouth. Indeed, unlike a single-jointed bit, which acts on the palate, a sensitive part of the horse's mouth, the tongue-and-snaffle bit avoids pressure on the horse's tongue, thus providing greater comfort.
Alloy
German silver: 80% copper, 12% zinc, 8% silicon. This composition allows for excellent relaxation of your horse's mouth.
